Terms of Service

These terms are the rules for using Campus Connections. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

IMPORTANT: BY AGREEING TO THESE TERMS YOU ARE WAIVING YOUR RIGHT TO SEEK RELIEF IN A COURT OF LAW AND WAIVING YOUR RIGHT TO HAVE A JURY TRIAL ON YOUR CLAIMS. See section 10.

1. What the service is

Campus Connections matches students at the same school who are flying out of the same airport, so they can share a ride there. It suggests matches and gives matched riders a chat, a pickup spot and a place to record the fare.

We do not provide transportation. We are not a rideshare, taxi or transportation company. We do not own or operate vehicles, employ drivers, or book cars. The riders you match with book and pay for the ride themselves, through a service they choose.

2. Who can use it

You must be 18 or older and a current student at a supported school, and you must sign up with your own school email address. One account per person.

3. Riders are not vetted

We confirm that a rider controls an email address at your school. We do not run background checks, verify identities beyond that, or screen riders in any other way. Ride counts and thumbs up on a rider's card are what other riders reported, not an endorsement. Use your own judgment about who you ride with. You can leave a match at any time, and you can report a rider from your trip page.

4. Matches are not guaranteed

We try to find you a match, and we often cannot. Flight times, bag limits, preferences and how many people sign up all affect it. A match can end if a rider's flight changes or they cancel. Always have another way to get to the airport.

5. Payments

Riders pay each other directly, on Venmo, Cash App or any other way they agree. We do not hold, move or refund money, and we cannot see whether a payment happened. The fare and paid status in the app are records the riders enter. Disputes about money are between the riders.

6. Your conduct

• Give accurate information about yourself and your trips.
• Show up for rides you agree to, or cancel in the app as early as you can.
• Do not harass, threaten, impersonate or discriminate against anyone.
• Do not use the service for anything other than arranging shared rides to the airport.
• Do not try to access other people's data, get around rate limits or security rules, or interfere with the service.

7. Suspension and termination

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other riders at risk. Repeated reports from different riders can suspend an account automatically while we review it. You can delete your account at any time from your profile page.

8. Disclaimers

The service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted or error free, or that flight information from third parties is accurate.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Campus Connections is not liable for anything that happens during or because of a ride, or for any conduct of other riders, drivers or transportation companies. That includes injury, property loss or damage, missed flights, and money one rider owes another. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to $100.

10. Disputes

Any claim between you and Campus Connections that comes from these terms or the service will be decided by binding arbitration before a single arbitrator, not in court. Either side may instead bring an individual claim in small claims court. The arbitration is run by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Claims are brought one at a time: you may not bring or join a class action or a representative action, and the arbitrator may not combine your claim with anyone else's. By agreeing to these terms you waive your right to seek relief in a court of law and your right to a jury trial. If any part of this section cannot be enforced, the rest of it still applies.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the state where the service operator is based, without regard to conflict of law rules.

12. Changes

When we change these terms we update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will email you before it takes effect. Using the service after that means you accept the new terms.
